The designer uses a large area of gray to unify the space, while the furniture is mostly black and dark wood. The overall space presents a low-key and quiet atmosphere. At the same time, the designer also tries to remove the decoration and show the original texture of the material, which makes the space look simple and friendly. There are very few works of art, but they all become the absolute focus in the space and enhance the artistic feeling of the space.
How does light intervene? How to present?
We think that the first thing should be to pass on the existing low-key, quiet, simple, friendly and faithful interior space. Therefore, we have completely abandoned the over emphasis on details of the lighting, through the candles placed everywhere to provide the lighting tone of the space. The warmth and quietness of the candle light can’t be replaced by any lighting method. At the same time, the occasional turbulence of air flow will make the candle light flicker, and the room will be full of romance in an instant. At dinner time, another candle will be lit on the table to enhance the atmosphere. Of course, with the background music that can make your hair crisp, the wonderful experience can not be described in words.
At the same time, we also want to use the light to show the texture of the products, so that people can have the experience of a high-end restaurant here. We set track spotlights in the ceiling to provide key lighting for the dining area, and also to illuminate the furnishings in some spaces to increase the level and richness of the space. The works of art mentioned above have become the best choice for us to sublimate the quality and artistry of the space. The only two large-scale oil paintings in the space are all selected by the owner of the restaurant. In the relatively dark environment, these two paintings are emphasized. Although there are only two paintings, many people can find the feeling of being in the gallery, which is also a surprise.
In addition, we need to consider how to deal with the lighting atmosphere when the bar is used. Turn off all the artificial lighting, turn down the brightness of the art lighting, turn up the brightness of the bar counter and the wine rack. Between the low and the high, with the background music conversion, the space atmosphere immediately becomes lazy and ambiguous, which is probably the most favorite state of the wine drinkers!
